The City of Forest Acres was incorporated in 1935. At the time it was a rural town, close to Columbia, SC. Now, however it is nestled right up to the eastern side of Columbia, SC.
There is a variety of shopping and services available in Forest Acres at Richland Mall, Trenholm Plaza and a wide range of unique small shops and restaurants. There are excellent schools available in the area, part of the Richland County School District One.
